Tracey finds that living and working as a professional artist surrounded by stunning scenery and unspoilt fishing ports is inspirational.
Her work is produced using a variety of mediums, but acrylics and oils take precedence, giving Tracey the strength of colour and versatility that best suits her work.
Tracey’s influences are from the Cubist art movement. As cubist founders Picasso and Braque reduced their subjects to basic geometric forms, rejecting the traditional philosophy that art should copy nature, so Tracey has studied and adapted the technique to the environment in which she finds herself.
Her contemporary pieces are influenced by the light, colour and movement that she sees and feels in Cornwall and which she then transfers onto paper or canvas.
